Mercedes-Benz E-Class — POTUS Rentals & Tours

Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Starting from $250 per dayLuxury SaloonReserve

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the flagship saloon of the POTUS fleet — a chauffeur-driven statement car for three passengers and two bags, starting from $250 per day in Livingstone and Lusaka.

Every fleet needs one car that settles the question of seriousness before a word is spoken. Ours is the E-Class. POTUS Rentals & Tours has positioned it at the top of the saloon line since 2018 for the guests whose visits carry weight: heads of delegations, senior diplomats and the principals of major organisations.

Why do diplomats choose the E-Class?

Discretion, mostly. The E-Class is configured for three passengers and two bags, which keeps the cabin uncrowded and the conversation private. Institutions on our client list — the International Monetary Fund, GIZ, Prospero Zambia and PPAZ among them — hire it precisely because the journey stays as confidential as the meeting. Drivers are briefed on protocol as carefully as on route.

The chauffeur completes the arrangement. POTUS drivers are trained for service beyond the wheel: schedules watched, doors managed, route changes absorbed quietly, and a concierge desk on call round the clock behind them.

There is also the matter of who stands behind the car. POTUS Rentals & Tours is the trading name of Point Turnkey Solutions Limited, a wholly Zambian-owned company headquartered at Plot 23, Luapula Road, Nottie Broad in Livingstone — a local firm with local accountability, serving both cities since 2018.

First-class concierge, round the clock.

POTUS Rentals & Tours

That promise is why the E-Class rarely travels alone in our diary — it is the car other bookings are built around. Book it first, and let the rest of the programme form around its timetable.

How does airport meet and greet work?

Send us the flight details and the rest is handled. Your chauffeur meets you at arrivals at Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International (LVI) in Livingstone — roughly 10 minutes from town — or at Kenneth Kaunda International (KKIA) in Lusaka, takes the luggage, and has the E-Class waiting close by.

Delays are our problem, not yours. The desk tracks the arrival and adjusts the collection quietly, which is exactly the kind of detail a first visit to Zambia should never have to worry about.

Luggage runs to two bags in the boot. When a party lands heavier than that, the desk quietly adds a support vehicle so the saloon keeps its lines and its pace — one message with the flight number is all it takes to arrange.

Can the E-Class lead a delegation?

It usually does. For ministries hosting influencer delegations and for organisations moving a full team, we build the convoy around the E-Class: principals up front, colleagues following in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and staff or luggage in a larger vehicle behind.

A typical arrival day reads simply: meet and greet at the airport, principals into the E-Class, delegation into the supporting cars, luggage counted and loaded once, then a single convoy moving on one timetable. The desk rehearses the sequence in advance so the first minutes in Zambia feel effortless.

For bigger movements the 25-seat Toyota Coaster Bus joins the same booking, so one quotation and one desk coordinate the entire operation from arrival to departure. Beyond the cars, the same desk arranges accommodation and full destination management — which is why many institutions hand us the whole movement rather than the vehicles alone.

What does it cost to hire?

The E-Class starts from $250 per day, and as with every POTUS vehicle the rate is negotiable — long hires attract discounts of up to 60%, and multi-vehicle delegation bookings are quoted as one tailored package. For longer postings that discount turns a months-long assignment into a far gentler line on the budget. Every hire includes the same foundations:

  • Limited collision-damage and theft insurance on every hire
  • Chauffeur-driven service, or self-drive with a valid driving licence
  • Airport meet and greet at LVI or KKIA
  • Round-the-clock concierge support on +260 955 747 769
  • A personalised proforma quotation before you confirm

Institutions tend to appreciate the paperwork as much as the car. Every engagement is documented on a proforma before any money moves, invoices reconcile cleanly, and payment runs by bank transfer, mobile money or POS with no online card capture.

Fuel is excluded from the rate, and cancellation bands are printed on the quotation itself — 25% at 60 to 45 days before travel, 50% at 45 to 30 days, 75% at 29 to 15 days, and 100% within the final 14 days or for a no-show.

How the E-Class hire works

Booking the E-Class is simple: send POTUS your dates, your preference for a chauffeur or self-drive, and your pick-up point, and a personalised quotation comes back the same day. A refundable deposit secures the car, self-drive clients provide a valid licence, and the balance settles by bank transfer, mobile money or POS before collection. Airport meet-and-greet is available at both Livingstone and Lusaka. As with the whole fleet, the rate we quote is a genuine starting point open to negotiation, especially on longer hires — just ask, and our concierge desk will tailor the arrangement to your itinerary.
