The Toyota Quantum is the shuttle of the POTUS fleet — a 13-seat people carrier that moves airport arrivals, tour groups and event guests around Livingstone and Lusaka on a tailored rate.

Between the saloon that carries four and the Coaster that carries 25 sits the vehicle that most groups actually need. POTUS Rentals & Tours has run the Quantum on exactly that middle ground since 2018: big enough that a party travels as one, nimble enough to work a town schedule all day without ceremony.

What is the Quantum best at?

Airport shuttles, first. Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International sits roughly 10 minutes from Livingstone town, and the Quantum clears a family or a small delegation — 13 passengers and around 10 bags — in a single collection, with meet and greet arranged at the arrivals door. Ten bags means real suitcases, not a polite fiction; the desk confirms the load when the quotation is prepared.

Event work comes next: wedding-guest shuttles running to a timetable, conference groups moved between venue and hotel, church and school parties on a day out. Guests remember the day and nobody remembers the transport, which is exactly the compliment we aim for.

Lusaka gives it the second half of its diary — conference shuttles across the capital, arrivals at Kenneth Kaunda International for visiting teams, and standing contracts that keep a project moving for weeks at a time.

Touring parties use it as their base vehicle, with our tours desk loading the itinerary around it — a sunset cruise from K1,200 per person one evening, a Mukuni Village tour at K500 the next morning, and the Quantum holding the group together in between.

Why is there no listed rate?

Honesty, mainly. Every POTUS rate is negotiable and every hire is quoted to its own shape — dates, distance, duration and season all move the number, and long hires attract discounts of up to 60%. Publishing one figure would misprice most journeys.

For a sense of how the fleet is priced, our standard saloons start from as low as K400 per day and the 25-seat Coaster from $400 per day; the Quantum is quoted between those poles according to the work you give it. The desk would rather quote you right than quote you fast — though most quotations still return the same day.

What the negotiable doctrine never touches is the service floor: insurance, meet and greet and the round-the-clock desk ride in every quotation at every price.

Respectful. Confidential. Reliable.

POTUS Rentals & Tours

What comes standard with every hire?

Negotiation moves the number, never the standard. Whatever rate the desk agrees for your dates, every Quantum hire carries the same wrap:

  • Limited collision-damage and theft insurance on every hire
  • Professional chauffeur or self-drive — your choice
  • Airport meet and greet at LVI in Livingstone or KKIA in Lusaka
  • Round-the-clock concierge support on +260 955 747 769
  • A personalised proforma quotation before you confirm anything

Fuel is excluded, so a short shuttle week and a cross-country tour are each priced for what they truly are. Chauffeur-driven is the natural choice for shuttle work — a driver who holds the timetable is most of what a shuttle is — while self-drive suits families touring at their own pace with a valid driving licence, terms confirmed on the quotation.

Where can you take it?

Both of our home cities, to start: the Quantum works Livingstone and Lusaka alike, and the long run between them suits a shared vehicle far better than a convoy of small cars. Collection city, route and return are all set out on your quotation.

If your party grows past 13, step up to the Toyota Coaster Bus on the same booking flow — the desk will move you between the two without drama as your numbers firm up, and downsizing works the same way when they shrink. Payment stays simple either way: proforma invoice, then bank transfer, mobile money or POS.

The company holding the keys is Zambian throughout — POTUS Rentals & Tours, the trading name of Point Turnkey Solutions Limited, headquartered at Plot 23, Luapula Road, Nottie Broad in Livingstone and serving both cities since 2018.

How to hire the Quantum

Booking the Quantum takes a single message: tell POTUS your dates, your route and your passenger numbers, and a personalised quotation follows the same day, with or without a driver as you prefer. A deposit secures the booking and the balance settles by bank transfer, mobile money or POS. Ideal for medium groups, airport shuttles and multi-day tours, it is one of our most-requested vehicles, so early booking is wise in peak season. Rates are negotiable and quoted as starting-from — ask about multi-day and long-hire discounts, and our concierge desk will tailor the arrangement to your group.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there no price shown for the Quantum?

POTUS rates are negotiable by design, so the Quantum is quoted to your dates and itinerary. Request a rate and a personalised proforma quotation follows promptly.

How many seats does the Quantum have?

13 passengers with room for around 10 bags — the practical middle ground between a saloon and the 25-seat Coaster.

Is fuel part of the rate?

No — fuel is excluded. Limited collision-damage and theft insurance is included on every hire.

Can the Quantum shuttle guests for an event?

Yes. Wedding, conference and tour-group shuttles are its core work in both Livingstone and Lusaka, run to a timetable you set.

Can I drive it myself?

Self-drive is offered alongside chauffeur-driven hire. Bring a valid driving licence; the full terms are confirmed on your quotation.
