The Livingstone Museum — Zambia’s oldest, with its David Livingstone collection — makes a worthy rainy-hour stop in town, and the Crocodile Park (from K350) is ten minutes down the falls road for families with an afternoon to fill.
Weekends stretch naturally across the border: Chobe’s elephants are a day trip away from $190, and the Kazungula bridge crossing has turned what was once a ferry queue into a smooth morning run. The Protea’s position makes it the last easy coffee before the border road.
